Hanna’s boyfriend, Caleb, is proving he can carry a show on the “Pretty Little Liars” spin off series “Ravenswood.”
It’s a town where the wind has hands, dad’s mysteriously die, and shower curtains fight back.
It’s also a town that does not have a Website, which makes it more than archaic…it makes it downright spooky.
Caleb and his new trusty side-kick, Miranda, are out to unearth why the town has gravestones that include their names and images. In the pilot episode of the series takes a more paranormal approach to storytelling than “PLL.” And, it looks like Hanna may have sent Caleb to a new town that could cost him his life after dodging “A” for such a long time.
The two are put up in the home of an Uncle Miranda hasn’t seen since the she was three years old. But Uncle Collins is as responsive as the corpse he is carrying when we meet him.
There’s spooky sounds and eerie conversations that make it obvious there won’t be a solution after one overnight trip. But Caleb and Miranda aren’t the only pair with problems.
A widow, two kids, a dead father and a tombstone spray painted with the words “black widow” reveals another plotline and it doesn’t look pretty.
But, what is the story? A town with no Website must definitely have a newspaper that can help Caleb and Miranda uncover the mystery at the graveyard. Unfortunately, it just complicates everything.
Caleb Rivers is looking for an obituary for Caleb Rivers and Caleb Rivers is the face of Caleb Rivers in an image that pops up.
Remy, who seems to assist her father at the newspaper, helps with the mystery. In addition to assisting her father, Remy and Luke are setting up a storyline about a 21st century Romeo and Juliet–star crossed lovers with a graveyard twist.
For now, the scares seem to be reserved for Caleb and Miranda. Caleb is attacked by a shower curtain and is nearly scalded as the faucet on the old fashion bath tub begins to run. He’s not blaming the spirits. Caleb is convinced Uncle Collins is attempting to murder him.
Miranda and Caleb –the prequels– were a couple that drowned in a boating accident. This might not be good news for Hanna.
During a night stroll Luke opens up about the death his dad. He thinks his mom did indeed murder his father. It’s during the stroll that Luke and his sister are spotted by Remy, Miranda and Caleb, who offer the two a ride.
No good things come from free rides in weird towns. The car ends up in the water.
Who will survive? And, is this town cursed?
